Did you know? Every year thousand of New Yorkers rely on your help to keep warm during the harsh winter months.  Fifty thousand New Yorkers without permanent homes spend their nights in various municipal shelters. Twenty thousand of those people are children who often must spend their days in the cold.  This is why we will one again be collecting coats for the 26th annual New York Cares Coat Drive.  We need you to go through your closets and pull out your gently worn winter coats. Then come in and drop it off at Mario's French Dry Cleaners.

New York Cares was founded by a group of friends who wanted to take action against serious social issues that faced our city in the late 1980's.  Finding few options to help, they created their own organization to address the problems from the ground up.  One of the programs is the coat drive. This is the 26th coat drive.  This year they hope to collect 100.000 coats.  Give the gift of warmth drop off a coat at our location at 191 New Dorp Lane Staten Island, New York. For a full list of collection sites, dates, and times, visit newyorkcares.org.
